Banten was hit by Tsunami on Saturday, 22 December 2018, causing hundreds of death, over 1000 injured with huge damage spreading over the residential and tourism area. Banten province has been identified as one of the worst affected areas of tsunami, where the disaster struck the seaside area of Pandeglang during the peak holiday season when it was crowded with tourists.
Responding to the Tsunami that hit the coast around Sunda Strait, where our Plant was located within Banten Province. Rich’s Indonesia associates visited the disaster site and distributed some of relief. The team arrived on Sunday, 6th January 2019 at Pandeglang, Banten and collaborated with PKPU Human Initiative as humanitarian agency.
Rich’s distributed food and supplies to the tsunami victims. Our associate was assisted by MGM Bosco Logistic as our logistic vendor for the program. Team also took the chance to visit school of Panimbangan 2nd and 3rd elementary school as the designated location for Trauma Healing Center and distributed variety of food for children.
