After the success of Rich's Wedding Cake Decoration Contest in Jakarta, the competition has now headed to Medan, where new talents in the field of cake decoration will be discovered.
From a wide pool of applicants across various cities, Rich's Indonesia selected the 12 best finalists who will showcase their abilities and creativity in decorating cakes at the Grand Final of Rich's Wedding Cake Decoration Contest to be held on November 25, 2023, at the Atrium Plaza Medan Fair, Medan.
The finalists came from various regions, including Aceh Province, Pematang Siantar City, Pangururan, Kabanjahe, Binjai, and other surrounding cities, and are eager to compete for the title of champion in the Rich's Wedding Cake Decoration Contest.
The event featured professional judges and experts in the field of cake decoration, including Chef Long, a Celebrity Chef from Rich's Vietnam with more than 20 years of experience in cake decoration, Chef Widya Bachtiar from the Indonesia Chef Association, and Chef Hendry from Indonesia Professional Pastry Chef. The judges will assess various elements such as color combination, composition, shape, and the ability to adapt to the theme.
The Rich's Wedding Cake Decoration Contest has been warmly welcomed by participants and cake decor enthusiasts. Niver Gultom from Panguruan City expressed his enthusiasm, "This is the first time there is a decoration contest event like this in Medan, so I am very excited. It is also a platform to meet and make friends with other participants." Niver explained that he had practiced diligently and sought inspiration from various sources in preparation for the grand final round.
Apart from the participants and cake decor enthusiasts, the Rich's Wedding Cake Decoration Contest has also attracted various communities such as the Indonesian Culinary Alliance, Hijab Baking Class, Learning Room Community, Bornas UMKM, and other baking and culinary communities in the city of Medan.
Attendee Lia appreciated the event, "We are very happy to have this event, because this is the first one in Medan, and we can see many bakers working directly here and the results are also very good." Spectators filled the supporters' seats outside the Rich's Wedding Cake Decoration Contest arena, taking turns to support the finalists during the final round. They were amazed when the participants decorated the cake and were also pampered by tasting cakes and Egg Tart, Aren Latte, and Earl Gray Milk Tea from the Rich's team, who also gave special goodie bags to participants who could answer the quiz.
Rich's also gave away a Lucky Draw with prizes including mixers, blenders, and choppers. Chef Halimah and Chef Jessica also demonstrated their skills in cake decorating while introducing Rich's Gold Label and Bettercreme. They presented Basket Flower Decoration Cake, which provided fresh ideas and inspiration to the audience
At the end of the event, all the finalists showcased their Wedding Cake Decoration creations. The results of their Wedding Cake amazed the audience and judges. Everything was good, beautiful, and sturdy because they used two of Rich's flagship products, namely Gold Label and Bettercreme.
Catherine Pho, a finalist from Medan, acknowledged the excellent quality of Rich's products in cake decoration. "I actually use Gold Label in my business because the quality of the cream is very good, sturdy, stable, and tastes delicious, so customers really like it," explained Catherine.
The judges announced the winners after the assessment, with Juliardi clinching the first place, Silvera Isnaini the second, Niver Gultom the third, and Chef Edy Mulyono the favorite winner. Rich's Indonesia congratulates the winners.
