Indonesia International Halal Chef Competition was held for the first time in Indonesia and collaborated with ICCI (Islamic Chef & Culinary Indonesia) and was supported by Bank Indonesia. The background for holding this event is to increase culinary development in Indonesia by inviting international judges who have international qualifications and join the World Halal Islamic Society.
Some of the activities in this event are competition, cooking demo, and talk show with various speaker. At the opening ceremony, Sisca Soewitomo was also present as one of the judge and speaker at this event. Compete with great judges from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Tunisia, Russia, Bangladesh, Jordan and many more.
In line with this vision and mission, Rich's also participated in this event which was located at JCC Senayan, Jakarta. With various activities carried out, Rich's has succeeded in attracting visitors to be creative with quality halal products, one of which is the Rich's product variant.
Rich's also contributed and was actively involved in this event. One of Rich's products, Double Cream was used by participants competing in the Indonesia International Halal Chef Competition. Double Cream is recognized by chefs as having extraordinary advantages for making various dishes.
Apart from that, on Sunday, October 29, 2023, Rich's also had the opportunity to get various inspiration and idea for business through a Cooking Demo with Chef Gori and team.
Rich's shared 3 recipes : Craquelin Choux which uses Bettercreme filling, Marquisa Tea with Foam with the ICEHOT Non Dairy Creamer application, as well as introducing the newest product, namely Rich's Cooking Cream which is used to make Beef & Potato Cream Soup.
Reta, one of the visitors who watched Cooking Demo loved the Craquelin Choux. “Moreover, the Bettercreme filling is delicious, I really like it. Must recreate it at home!” she said. Rich's also regularly updates the product's halal status and BPOM certification so that F&B businesses are safer in using it.
In the talk show session, Rich's explained that we not only provide quality products, but also help the F&B business. "One of them is that we are aggressively support UMKM by creating innovation and getting involved in helping their businesses," said Vicky Harseno as Trade Marketing from Rich's.
The year 2024 is the government's target that all products in Indonesia must have halal label and it is hoped that Indonesia can become a reference for halal products in the world. “We really care about brand awareness to increase this halal product. "This means that all Indonesian culinary delights, both UMKM and food service industry, must fully understand the importance of halal certification, including the use of halal certified ingredients," said Chef Adie as President of ICCI.
He also added that halal certification goes through various processes, starting from cleanliness, food safety to products that have a halal guarantee so that the entire product range can be of high quality. This process is facilitated by the government or through self-declaration.
Aprilia Putri, one of the visitors, said she was very satisfied with this event. “I’m happy to see lots of quality cooking demo featuring great chefs from abroad. "There is also a talk show about halal food which also meets health requirements," she said. So, Rich's involvement in the Indonesia International Halal Chef Competition will have a positive impact on the progress of Indonesian culinary delights and as one of the brand who is trusted for the quality and halalness of its products.
